Default 89 300TE (gasoline) fuel trim

Hi there,

I am having trouble with my old wagon. I can't get the fuel trim to set quite correctly. It's the 103 6cyl with the CIS-E system. Every time I set it, it's different on the next engine start. I can usually get these down pretty well without the gauges, but this one just won't go. Lucky enough, it's my personal car so I don't have a customer biting down my neck. Here's what I already know...

The engine controller is okay
Overload relay is okay
The IAC motor is okay
All the injectors are okay, brand new Bosch
Vacuum system is okay

Does anyone know how I can measure the trim off of the O2 sensor without the factory Lambda box tool? I can't find one of those anywhere, if I could I'd buy it. There has to be a way to cheat it...

Thanks for any help

Default

Forgot to add that it usually only lacks power during warm up, it seems to be okay when fully warmed up after the CIS controller switches off, runs perfect with warm engine and controller unplugged, so it's got to be something which reports to the controller.

Thanks again.
