Can you direct me to a post or let me know how to pull out this factory radio.

Also, I beleive this unit is causing a battery drain. The radio shuts off but still makes noise when car and radio are turned off?? Does this radio need to be serviced and can it be repaired or should I get an aftermarket radio?

you need to remove the wood trim underneath and on top of the radio to give you room to take out the radio.

don,t you have to inter a code after you install the radio on the car .
i just bought 300e 1989 and i,m afraid to remove the radio or disconnect the battery for this reasone

 

you have the code in your owners manual leather case.

ijust bought the car and i do not see any code for the radio on my owner manual leather case is it a card .

 

I have it printed on mine, on the anti-theft card for the radio.

ican not find it any where i also contact the old owner and she said she does not remember any thing about code , should i call the dealer for the code or it is some where i can get the code from .

you can call or go in person to the dealer, give them the VIN# and they should help you...or ask around here on the boards, need serial number and model of stereo...
