Interesting you say that. I was poking around today and found that the rubber pedal cover was off of the pedal. Hmm, you say? Well, it was under the pedal and jammed between the dash and switch. I had been wondering why accelerations were few and far between. Sounds like it could be the problem. I have to take it on the road yet and find out for sure.
hows it doing ..?

Just took her on the first long trip (160 miles) since I discovered the pedal cover removed. No more "jerky" up-and-down shifts! Thanks all!!
