88 300e downshift "jerks"
Hi all,
When I am at highway speeds and kick it into passing gear my car noticeably jerks into gear and out of gear as well. If I were to take my hands off of the wheel when it does this it almost seems it will turn the car into that direction. I have to subtly correct the steering each time it does this. Or it just may be just from the sudden shift that it surprises me. Not sure either way.

Interesting you say that. I was poking around today and found that the rubber pedal cover was off of the pedal. Hmm, you say? Well, it was under the pedal and jammed between the dash and switch. I had been wondering why accelerations were few and far between. Sounds like it could be the problem. I have to take it on the road yet and find out for sure.
