4Matic light on
 

[:-]4matic Dash light staying on. Added Hyd fluid(MB) to the reservoir as it was a little low. Reset light via a battery disconnect. Light returns after apprx. 50 miles. Any checks I can do for possible simple fix. Transfer casehas apprx. 50,000 miles since replacement. Thanks.

I removed what could be called a bleeder screw (plug) located at theservice valve lever, while the eng was running. Bled off a little fluid and hopefully any air that might have gotten into the system. Nothing more than a guess.I took it out fora little test run on the snowy road, engaged the 4 Matic several times and all seems fine.
