Default Plug Location

Not a stupid question if you've never had one of these cars. Remove the two nuts holding the air intake, loosen the hose clamps and pull the air intake tube to the side. There are socket head cap screws that hold the spark plug/coil pak cover on, take those off and pull off the top cover. Plugs are resistor type. This is one operation you can do with limited skills or tools.

Remove the air cleaner housing so you can get to things. You will see three coil packs on each valve cover. The ignition leads will go to the plugs. Get a pair of spark plug boot pullers. This will save a lot of cursing, but there will still be plenty involved. Use a torx driver to remove the coilpacks and wires. You can lay them on the engine without unplugging them or you can just take them off, your choice. Next you will need a swiveling (universal) spark plug socket. Matco makes a great set that isn't ridiculously expensive. A flexible magnet will help you get them out. Be sure to use anti-sieze when you put them back in.
