my customer has a 97 e320. it has a no start condition. there is plenty of fuel pressure. when cranking, there is juice to the fuel injectors but there is no computer signal grounding the injectors. hooking up a snapon scanner, there is no communication with the ecu. there was also found a blown cigarette lighter fuse and garage door opener fuse. i pulled out the ecu, and found burn marks on the circuit board, thus i replaced the computer with a salvage yard comp. numbers are exactly the same, as are connectors. found cigarette lighter to be faulty, performed repair and now no fuses are blowing. but, still have no communication with ecu, and no injector pulse. does anyone know of any other fuses or links that could be open to the comp. or elsewhere?
