1996 e320d wont start, flashing red and green light on mirror
 

I have a 1996 e320d that wont start. had a problem at first it was randomly shutting off and when i went to start red & green mirror lights were flashing and would not restart, engine cranks but no fire. read some threads and think it might be my start lockout feature. is there a way to reset or disable?
