1996 E320 ASR always comes on when...
 

...I turn on the headlamps or even just the guide lights and the only way to turn the ASR back off is to pull over and turn the engine off and then restart it. Obviously I cannot drive around without the use of my headlamps and most of us know that driving with the ASR engaged is a chore. Is there any way to just disable the ASR? (BTW: The ASR disable switch on the middle console does illuminate the little 'MPH!' warning light, but DOES NOT keep the ASR from engaging-EVER.) And FYI: the ASR has never came on when driving without the headlamps on. Thanks in advance :confused:for any help anyone can offer me - Brian
