1993 300E battery
I needed a new batter for my 1993 300E so I went to autozone and got one. Two days later, my car wouldn't start, got it towed to a mercedes garage and they told me it was the wrong battery and that I needed a 'group 93' battery. So I returned the one to autozone and they said they don't have 'group 93' batteries. So, why did autozone sell me this battery, and what is a 'group 93' battery and where can I get one? HELP! I need to drive! Thanks all.

RE: 1993 300E battery
I am surprise that you failed to let the MB garage change the battery for you for the right one and then return the one you bought from AutoZone.
My best advise to you is to call MB Roadside [800-222-0100]. A service rep will come to car location in no time, check the battery and change it if necessary for nothing [no labor charge]. You just pay for the new battery - approx. $125.00. Good luck. |

This may sound silly but did you make sure the connections were correct? I've switched my battery out and had no issues.
