190e w201 don't want to rev above 2000rpm
 

Hi, my old 190e -86 don't want to rev above 2000rpm, when it does it dies until it goes down to idle. then it's back to normal again.
any thoughts?.

Old thread. Not being able to reach high rpms can be a restriction in your fuel system. Typically, that would be due to restricted fuel tank screen and or fuel filter.

After that I would be wondering if the fuel supply pressure is adequate.

For more I would need to have more knowledge of your particular engine and fuel system, and I don't have that.
