Default vallet keys

Can a CLS vallet key operate another CLS by using it in the ignition. And does the vallet key have a chip in it? What are the restrictions of the vallet key? Please help!

on CLS, i didn't know that there is a valet key anymore. on older models, yes.

they are mechanical key with different cut.

in the case of new models, you simply lock the glove compartment and trunk with mechanical key and remove it. the transponder key will serve as the valet key since it's less the mechanical key.

it cannot open the golve box because it uses mechanical key and cannot use the remote trunk release because you lock it mechanically.

got it?
