Oil changes

The dealer told me i need a first oil change in 12,000 miles or a year. I currently have 4400 miles on it, should i get an oil change riight now or wait til the suggested time, and what oil is best for performance???

Your car should be running the Mobil 1 syn. You should be able to wait the time providing you don't exceed the mileage.
