Im looking to purchase a 2016 CLS 2 220D bluetec executive 9G-tronic with 43kmiles (68k km) asking 25k euros (28k USD)

If anyone has any advice, opinion on this model, i would appreciate it. My hook was that supposedly being a 4 cylinder it gets close to 57mpg and based on research ive done its a decent model year without too many reliability issues.

Ive owned 94 E320 amazing car went close to 300k miles with hardly any issues
2000 E320 the same very reliable and currently being driven in California with 275k miles
2002 CL 500 great car with the usual ABC issues but NOT the expensive (completely redo issues)

And was thinking about EV since we now live in Southern France but 50k for a used Tesla S vs 28k for used CLS that gets 50+ mpg made me think perhaps go back to MB?

Any comments suggestions appreciated.
