HELLO... I HAVE HAD MY 99 CLK CAB FOR ABOUT 1 YEAR NOW AND MY HEADLIGHT WENT OUT... I TOUGHT IT WAS THE BULB SO I CHANGED IT AND IT STILL DIDN'T COME ON. I THEN CHANGED THE BALLAST AND IT STILL DOESN'T COME ON. CAN SOME ONE TELL ME WHAT ELSE CAN IT BE OR WHAT TO DO. CAN IT BE A WIRING HARNESS? THE HIGHBEAM, FOG LAMP AND PARK LAMP ALL COME ON. EVERYTHING EXCEPT FOR THE HEADLIGHT. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP. THANKS.

 

was it only the xenon low beam? high beam is okay? park light is okay?

the fuse #13 is okay?

the signal from the switch is via CAN to the light control module. you got power from light control module to xenon headlamp control module everytime you switch the light on?

check for loose connections or ground.

take it to the workshop or dealer which has diagnostic computer to see the actual value on signals sent and recieved by each control module.... then you will easily know where the problem lies.

 

What does signal CAN mean? I don't quite understand the question you asked... When I turn the headlights on, the display tells me that there is a headlamp defective... When I installed the xenon ballast I made sure that the connections and the bulb were connected properly... Is there another connection? Where do I find fuse 13, under the hood near the drivers side door? Where is the ground connection? Thanks once again sleepwalker....
