my remote will not open the door or trunk unless you point it at the ir reader at the doors, "2001 clk 320"i was told this could be due to the com bar "antenna" on the top rear of my car the thing is that the antenna is broken ive looked at a lot of clk's in my area that have broken antennas at the top, this could be due to the fact that they arnt removable. Another strange thing is that the car unlocks with the remote when im sitting in the car but if i toch my remote to the com bar antenna it wont even unlock. So my question is A. how to i diag this issue and B. what are the steps in replaceing the com bar. i dont want to chage this part and still have the same issue. Also my radio signal isnt too good this could also be related due to the broken antenna at the top. It's strange that the fm and signal for the remote go throught the same antenna.thanks
