Default Stalled in the rain

Was driving in rain when the car stopped running. had elec power, and would crank, but not restart. After a 2 hour flatbed ride it started, but the check engine light is on. A few weeks ago, also after rain driving, the alarm was chirping randomly. but it stopped after a few hours. I clearly have wetness somewhere. Any suggestion on where to start looking would help.
Thanks
Doug

Hi Doug,
what trouble code showed up with your check engine light?
Have it scaned at auto zone to see the source of your problem.
It could be CPS crankshaft position sensor, fuel delivery or wiring problem.
Was this the first time that it stalled on you?

Thanks mbenz80, it was the CPS. Not sure why my alarm was chirping before this, but we have had lots of rain in the northeast this year.

mbenz80 - replaced the CPS, throttle has a dead spot above idle. Sputters early in acceleration, then runs fine.
Is there a "reset" that needs to be done?
Thanks
Doug
