Pics of Blue CLK500?
I KNOW which "blue" you are talking about. The color is NOT very "popular", and is actually "rare". A pic will be hard to find. I however dream of that color everytime I open my car door, wondering why I didn't wait. The blue represents festivity or the ocean for me. I prefer festive colors over "gothic" colors, personally.
If you love that color like me, here is what I know.
Ive seen one MB in that color since year 2000,
Unless you live in Miami, there will not likely be any at the dealer.
You certainly CAN special order your car in ANY color you want. Get the details through MBUSA.com I have read that it only costs 1-2k more for "factory" custom color. And if special ordered from the factory, it actually improves the value of the car, because the color is notated as the "original color" on the title and labels. I will insist on getting my next clk in that blue.
There is a company in Miami that completely disassembles MBs and repaints them to show-car standards in tropical colors. While the quality, finish, thickness, is better than the factory finish in my opinion, it has been stated that re-painting the car, lowers the resale demand. My wife and I have seen several of these cars in striking head-turning festive colors such as lavender, metallic copper, metallic turquoise, even metaliic purple.
