iPhone Cradle/iPod Kit Help
 

Hi All

I have a 2005 CLK 320 (W209 Facelift). I also just got a new iPhone 3G. I wanted to possibly get the iPhone and iPod capabilities working with the built-in system. I don't have the Navi, just the standard stereo and CD changer. I know I have the AUX input, because when I hold down CDC, AUX displays in the driver window.

Now what all do I need to get this thing working? I am under the impression that if I were to get the iPod kit, the iPod functionality would work just fine, with perhaps some coding by the dealer. Since I don't have the Phone system wiring, I was reading that there is an additional cable that I could run from the iPod kit to the iPhone cradle and it should work.

Am I right, or do I need to get all the stuff for the phone system as well? In which case, it starts to get financially troublesome.
