Cruise control fuse

I am wondering if anyone can help. My 01 CLK 430'scruise control stopped working yesterday out of the blue. I want to check the fuse, but the fuse box "identification lists" on the inside of all 3 fuse boxes do not show a fuse for cruise control. It seems like there is a fuse for everything else, but not one labled cruse control or anything that makes me think it is the right fuse. There has to be a fuse. Anyone know which one it is? I would greatly appreciate any assistance.

Thanks,

Dave

RE: Cruise control fuse

I dont think there is a fuse for the cruise control. There could be a problem with bas/esp, sometimes traction control codes in the system can shut down the cruise control. you cold have a faulty sterring column module which is all the levers on the steering column. this is just a guess. if you go to the dealer they can check the swithes on the steering colummn to see if they might be the problem. sometimes clearing codes can fix the issue.

RE: Cruise control fuse

Thanks. It is interesting that you mention the ESP because I noticed my car was hesitating today on acceleration from stop lights, and someone on the forum had suggested shutting off the ESP to stop hesitation. When I did the car did not hesitate, and the cruise control worked for a minute or two, and then stopped working and couldn't be reset. It sounds like it's all connected. Thanks again.
