I just went to Santa Barbara CA where there are fires raging in the hills and ash is falling like snow... I am out of there now, but my convertible top won't open...says I need to close the truck, but the trunk is closed. Any idea what could be going on?

 

Check that your protector device is situated correctly in the trunk. Pull it so it latches. There is a switch in the right rear track that may be affecting this.

You need to make sure the trunk roof is down (the section you can push up for more trunk space.

 

Try pushing the Green reset button on the inside of the trunk lid..resets the lock,dont use your remote..it worked for me..one of those ghosts in the machine things...
