hi i have a 2002 clk430 and i Red in the owners manual that if u pull the light switch back two clicks that the rear fog lights on the car turn on. there just like brake lights. my question to anyone who knows is if there is a single fog light or two in the rear? because my clk only has one on the drivers side.

 

According to my owners manual.....only the driver's side should be on.

Yep, just the driver's side.

It works very well as a backup light. Try it sometime.

Yea' just be careful using it if your driving home all looped up from happy hour at the local pub. It'd suck to get pulled over 'cuz some cop thought one of your brake lights was out!!

 

lma0o ^ thats very true. can be misleading to a cop for a broken brake light.

 

Rear fog light should NOT be turned on during normal driving conditions.
Use it only in fog, poor visibility. It adds a little bit safety for you and the drivers behind.
But when the condition is good, just turn it off, because it does nothing but blind drivers behind you.
Most European cars have rear fog light(s), it is usually on the left, the bulb on the right is reverse light (white), Cars with two reverse lights like Mercedes has its left brake light as rear fog light, when stepped on the brakes, 2 more lights should come on (3 brake lights total)
Some jaguar and Land Rover has two rear fog lights, and i just hate to see those cars at night.
Thankfully, there aren't that many Jaguar and Land Rover on the road,
