CLK POWER STEERING PROBLEM
 

I HAVE GOT A 2004 CLK AND I HAVE BEEN DRIVIN IT ALOT, AND SUDDENLY ONE DAY I PULLED UP TO THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS AND THE POWER STEERING WENT ROCK SOLID! BUT WHEN I STARTED DRIVING AGAIN IT WAS OK. THE NEXT DAY I THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE THE FLUID SO I TOPPED IT UP BUT STILL NO LUCK WHEN EVER THE CAR IS STATIONARY THE STEERING IS ROCK SOLID, BUT IF I PUT THE CAR IN NUETRAL AND REV THE CAR THEN THE STEERING TURNS! DOES ANYONE KNOW WOT THE PROBLEM COULD BE? MERCEDES DIDNT REALLY WANT TO HELP AS IT IS NOT A MAJOR PROBLEM, THEY SAID TO BOOK IT IN BUT I NEED THE CAR FOR WORK AND THEY DO NOT WANT TO GIVE ME A CURTESY CAR.

seem the power steering pump/valve is losing pressure.

wot would be the best way to fix this problem a new pump?

your car is under warranty.

this thing will be taken care of the dealer.

yeh i kno but they said they want the car for 2 weeks and i cant afford to do that. otherwise it wouldnt of been a problem i kno i have a 3 year warrenty it would cost me less money to get it fixed from somewhere else as with out my car i cant do my job

man pratin, what kinda fly by night MB dealer did you buy from??? an '04 with a warranty problem and they won't give you a loaner. I'd find a different dealer!
