Default clk convertible rear window goes too high??

hi all my 2001 clk convertible has a problem with the rear window, it goes up too high and catches on the front window?

I have tried to reset all the windows but when the roof is down the rear drivers side window still goes about half an inch too high?

can the windows be adjusted?

no the windows can't be adjusted, actually you can adjust them but thats not your problem.there is a metal bracket that is supposed to stop the window from going up to far and it bends or breaks off. i think originally its a plastic piece but then it goes to a new metal piece. you must remove the inner panel from the back seat and must remove the rear cusion to remove the side panel. you also must remove the metal strips along the sides of the back window on the fender. then you can see down intowhere the window is to see the metal stop piece.you will end up tearing the seal between the front and back windows if you dont get the problem corrected. as the front window goes up, it grabs the bottom of the seal on the back window and will rip it when the window is going up.
