Default CLK Cabrio water leaks

1999 CLK 320 Cabriolet...recently, while driving around town in a heavy rain, water was really coming in on both the driver's and passenger's side. It seemed to be coming in around the general area of where the top meets the windshield corners. The water was not coming in over the window seals.

The water was entering (from somewhere) and following the weather stripping, and finally dripping down on my shoulder.

Other details:
  • I was only driving at speeds of, say, 30-35 mph.
  • When stationary, the flow seemed to stop.
  • As said, the problem was occurring on both sides pretty much equally!
The next nice day, I raised the roof and gave all the seals a good "eyeballing". Everything looked OK to me.

The car has no distracting wind noises; everything seems to be sealing pretty well.

Your thoughts will be appreciated.

Thx,
relinuca
