Clk blaupunkt radio code help
 

I have been calling the dealerships and requesting the radio code for my car. They keep asking me to come in. I was under the impression that i could just give them my vin and request it. Any help or advice would be apreciated because I dont feel like or have the time to visit a dealership right now. Whats the big deal they keep saying its for security purposes as if someone is gonna steal a 6 year old Blaupunkt radio [:@] Then call and get the code WTF!!!!!!!

I just bought the car btw and this is my first post.

give me the radio serial number and model.

Hey Thanks man. How do I remove the radio to see the serial. Sorry never took it out before...

was it the face-off type? i haven't seen a blaupunkt radio installed on clk yet. maybe yours was not original equipment.

anyway, i can decode it. no problem.

if face-off, remove the face and you will see a slot. insert the tool and pull it off.

You are seriously the man but mine is not a detachable face.. I do however see the slots for that tool, unfortunately though I dont own those tools. Is there anything I can substitute? A small thin blade knife perhaps?

Radio serial number (not security code) "May" be written in the service book if one came with vehicle. Mine was.

that reminds me... if the data card is still inserted on the service book, the radio CODE is there as well.

Dayummmnnn I guess I have a bootleg clk because I dont have any of that lol. Tonight I'm gonna go at it with the hacksaw blades and see if I can jimmy it out I'll have that serial and model number for you soon sleepwalker if you can still do me that favor. Thanks again in advance.

i am sure anyway that the radio belongs to you because you don't know how to remove it yet, and therefore cannot theft one :D
