Hello, Someone came into my car, pressed both side buttons to my arm rest -- the whole top came off and I can't figure out how to re-apply it. Anyone have suggestions? [sm=icon_flaming.gif]

 

hard to explain here in words, but hold down tab in front center. and push in side tab on either side and also hold down the side back tab. then reattach to console. as you hold in front side tab the front tab stays down. reattach one side first.

 

I appreciate your help, although I didn't understand. I bought the car on saturday and am not too savvy with it yet -- Should I go to Mercedes Benz about this?

 

sure should be under warranty, front tab meaning the front that latches in the center push that down, then you will be able to push the button in ( that you use to open the lid ) on the side then fold back or open the latch on the back side of the lid then attach that side first. its a stupid and unreliable design. your only supposed to push one button at a time ones for the driver to open and the other is for the passenger to open. opens up either way/ swings open either way. you have to hold down that button on the side in order to attach the lid.

i had the same problem just push in the two buttons and make sure and use a bit of force. that is how i fixed it after about 2-3 hours lol, wanted to make sure not tobreak it.
