Hello: having a problem with the alarm on my 2003 CLK 500. The alarm will go off sometimes when I turn the car off. I don't hit the panic button or anything, it just goes off on its own. Sometimes the car will be sitting then the alarm will activate. It's not the usual high-pitched alarm, it's kind of quiet.

I try to deactivate the alarm with my keys but that doesn't work, I usually have to go into the car and start it up. The alarm remained on one time even when the egnition was on and the car running. I drove it a short distance while the alarm was going off. The message centre in the speedometre says that there is no problem? Anyone have an idea what's going on?

I'm having the exact same problem! If you ever found out how to fix the issue, please let me know so I don't have to take it to the MB dealership and spend tons of money for an alarm that activates on its own!

 

REPLACE THE ALARM SIGNAL SIREN. IT PROABABLY HAS WATER IN IT.
