clk 200 Brake Discs and Pads - Winter Warning
I own a CLK200 09 plate which after 3-4 weeks stationary in my drive due to the bad weather has just thawed its way back onto the roads!
Since then I have noticed vibration when I am braking. Local dealer advised that I do some miles as 'suspected' corrosion may just wear off! After 200 miles plus of driving the vibration has not lessened. Same dealer is looking for Circa £700.00 to replace for front and rear brake discs and pads. The word warped discs has been mentioned!!! MB warranty will not cover this as a warranty item! I am a bit annoyed as I have been paying for the car to be stationary in the drive for a month. I am now looking at paying for something through no fault of my own to be fixed. Does anyone have any advice? Iain |
the problem is most likely rusted and warped rotors..could be flat spotted tires too.
