Default Automatic Wipers

My automatic wipers aren't working since I had the windshield replaced. The body shop did not use a genuine Mercedes windshield..Is this the problem. They swear it is the right windshield. All I know is that the automatic wipers worked fine until they changed the glass. Any suggestions

There is a unit they need to replace with a replacement windscreen - it sits under the rear view mirror. I recently had mine replaced and they broke the automatic unit TWICE. It's made of fibreglass and is very delicate. Check whether it's been installed and if not, go back and tell them to fit it. If it is fitted, it isn't fitted properly. Cheers Char

Default Rain sensor

They need to replace the rain sensor when they replace the windscreen. I recently had mine replaced and they broke it when they took it off. Had to order new one. I took car back for fit and they broke that while fitting it too. Very delicate. It sits under the rear view mirror. Check if you have one. If not, take it back and ask them to fit it. If it's already fitted, it isn't fitted properly. Hope this helps. Cheers Char
