yadagi and zofitness, sorry to hear that you both are being affected by glycol
update: in reference to my previous post about my car shaking badly, it turns out it was a broken air intake hose. replacing it fixed the shaking. So far, my car seems to berunning fine.

After giving this weeks of thoughts, and paying out fornew exhuast, as one of theCATs had gone on the longest section (£800 worth), I've accepted MB's £500 gift voucher, as I'm spending no moreand now need a new wheel angle sensor (£300 worth) which comes up as 'ESP Defective, visit workshop'.
The new transmission feels good and in the end with all ofMB's goodwill the final bill came to £1600instead of the£4000I was quoted.
I think the lesson learned is don't keep a Merc out of warrantyand should anything go wrongmoan like bloody hell, not that we should have to and if all else fails email, thep*** at MB Milton Keynes, his address is below, it seemed to geta few feathers flying.

Still miffed they wouldn't accept the Glycol contamination asa design fault.
