"NO CD " MESSAGE
Hi,
I have a 2001 CLK for two weeks now and when i' m trying t o change to cd function there is a message "NO CD".
It' s the Mercedes Audio 10 system with the 6 disc changer in the trunk.
I can hear the changer loading the disc from the magazine but no response and No CD message in the radio's display.
Any help would be appreciated..

*check if the cd is inserted in a proper way (label facing on the right direction).
**open the cd changer if there an extra cd inserted inside (7). sometime it was ejected with 1 cd loaded and then the magazine was filled with 6 cd's again.
***replace the cd changer.

"NO CD" and "NO CHANGER" are two different messages. The former indicates that the system can see the changer, but not any CDs. The latter inicates that the sytem cannot see a changer even installed.
I have a 99 CLK. I already replaced my CD changer twice. Both times shows "NO CD". My friend has a 04 C-Class with same CD changer, and he had to replace once, too. Lucky for him, his still under warranty.
