Default w168 - cold start, blinking dashboard

Hi,

Just joined recently, tried to find my issue but haven't seen similar posts.
So, last week was really cold, (below -10C during night time). As a result my central lock was opened every morning, also the dash was blind except for the battery symbol. The car just started without any issue, but as the system got warmer, my dash started to switch on and off like crazy, till it got warm and after a while it was just working fine. Until the dash was working as intended, I was not able to operate the central lock, not the indicators, or anything inside the car, expect for the stereo and the main lighting.
Not, that the weather is milder, it works just fine. The battery is relatively new, I don't think the issue is with that.

Did two videos. The first one was happening during my initial start of the car, the second one a little later, when it got a bit warmer (like a minute after the first).

Did you guys saw anything like this?

For me, it was the instrument cluster. The controller IC got broken. As soon as I got a new instrument cluster, everything was working fine. A used one was about 30 euros. When buying a new cluster, be mindful that there are differences between the original and the facelift versions, so just stick to whatever you had or you're going to have issues with your fuel gauge.
