I'm thinking of buying a 00 or 01 CL 500. Is the CL 500 reliable or would I be buying a whole lot of trouble???

 

Well being that it is basically as far as electronics go the same as a 00 or 01 S500 i would say steer clear of it unless it has been very well maintained. If you read up on the problems for a W220 s-class sedan on this forum that will give u an idea of what u are getting into because there are not many CL owners on this forum. If i were u i and wanted a 2-door i would get a low mileage 96-99 CL500 or S500 coupe.
