Default A Texas Redneck CL600 Story ... subtitled "My car won't start, please help."

I grew up a Yankee in rural Pennsylvania, but somehow ended up in Texas back in 1999. I've learned enough about the locals to make the ultimate trade for a beautiful 2001 CL600. Two ARs and a super-magnum shotgun for a car that the beleaguered previous owner had pumped $25K into. His wife apprently said get it out of here now, and the deal was done.
Driving it home was an incredible thrill. Smoothest, quietest, most powerful car I'd ever driven. Only issues were that it had a heck of a time starting, and the camshaft and crankshaft position sensors were throwing codes. So ... I switched out both Camshaft position sensors myself ... and the car would not start at all. I called in a mechanic to change-out the crankshaft position sensor, and it still wouldn't start. No codes, however. Mechanic thinks its the starter. So ... I've now got a starter. Is there anyone out there that has replaced a starter on a W215? Mechanic wants $700 to do it. I've switched out a couple of starters on Jeeps and Land Rovers. This one looks to be quite a bit more of a challenge.

Thanks for your help.

You may have got the deal of the century man! Check out the link below to what looks like a fairly thorough DIY for the starter replacement on the W215 chasis. Best of luck!
