Hi guys,
I know this has been posted many times but I am getting no where and my fault seems different.
I have just bought a 2002 SL500 with a genuine 10,000 miles from a friend of many years.
The roof and central locking has the usual problem and does not work, i checked the fuse behind the drivers seat and that had blown which i replaced but still no luck.
If you push the lever down you can hear the pump trying to work but nothing happens as the roof is fully up, when you pull back to lower nothing apart from flashing red, but sometimes it comes up about boot separator
i have checked that and all seems in order and have shorted it across to bypass but still get the same fault.
the fuse has also blown again.
Finally the boot battery is only a few months old but has not been used at all really so electrical consumers off line fault is often on,
am i missing something simple? based in Manchester UK
