Hello All

I just picked up a nice 2002 CL 600
Like a dummy I did not shop for insurance before I bought the car.

I am getting quotes of $250.00 per month and higher.
I have an 06 750li that I pay $115.00 per month on.

I have called several of the large insurance companies, all of them have told me the car is expensive to insure.

Anyone else pay this much for a CL?

Just picked up a '04 CL600 and I was a little shocked about the ins. premium as well but it wasn't as bad as yours. State Farm's charging me $710 for 6 months. BTW I just turned 59. 100/300k liability, 250 deduct.
When I questioned them about the premium she said, "OMG! I never seen a rating (45) as high as this"!
I'm glad I made her day. I tried to get ins. from AARP Hartford and they won't even quote on it.

Here in the UK the CL ( both 500,55 and 600) are group 20 cars and I pay £450 a year fully comprehensive insurance on my CL600.

 

Have a 2002 CL600 ,Allstate is reasonable for the car. Hope you got extended warranty, these car are notorious for engine issues. Have $15,000 worth of bills but extended warranty took care of most of those charges
