The key remote to my C230 Kompressor Coupe (2003) no longer opens and closes the windows and sunroof as it used to. I think this is because the battery was disconnected when I had new speakers installed. Anyway, I tried to resynch it according to the manual's instructions (several times), but it did not work. Any ideas?

 

Not sure if this will work--I seem to recall doing it once on my 02 coupe. Use the mechanical key (inside the electronic key) to lower the windows and open the sunroof. It takes up to 10 seconds to start working. Then reverse the procedure and close everything. I believe this will work. One other thing--the 02 remote has TWO batteries and they do wear out and the feature stops working even though the remote still works but at a shorter distance. Hope it works.

Edit: Didn't work. Tried twice. I'll try replacing the battery later.
