what's this hose called?
hey guys, so i was taking out the MAF the other day on my 00/01 c320 to clean the MAF in hopes of smoothing out a rough idle. While i was wiggling the MAF, i heard a pleasant 'snap.'
turns out i broke a hose that connects to the engine right above the throttle (or is it directly the throttle? anyways. i have no clue what this hose is and definitely need to replace it. it's plastic, and snapped at the neck so there's still a piece inside of the engine - I pulled it out and it's looks like a special type of connection where there's a male/female end and you can push it in, but can't pull out w/o pressing the ring on the side. This hose starts from the top of the engine, goes underneat the MAF, up along the wall of the engine compartment and travels across towards the driver side and connects into some compartment that's near the engine fuse box. is this a vacuum hose? can i replace this plastic hose w/ a rubber one? anyone ever encounter this issue before? many thnx! PS. i was also trying to find the dang CPS sensor for this car while i was under the hood. couldn't seem to find it for the life of me. anyone have a diagram or where i should be looking? i was searching for it looking over the top of the engine. |
