I have just joined this forum. I recently purchased a mercedes C240 1998. I finally achieved my dream of owning a Mercedes!!!

The car has been in the family since new and so I know its history. Its always been looked after and has a little over 84,000 on the clock.

Over the past two weeks I've noticed a water leak running down into the passenger footwell. The leak seems to becoming down from thedoor side of the passenger compartment. The leak only seems to happen when I start driving the car. I can hear water sloshing around, until it all leaks through. It also only appears to happen after heavy rainfall.

Its probably a blocked drain/plug. Has anyone experienced a similar problem? any comments would be greatly appreciated

there is a clogged water drain, on the right side. you can do it yourself
let me know if you need advice on how to do it.

 

I have the exact same problem

I have a 1998 C280, bought it November of last year, just a few more miles than you.

I got a tip from another forum to blow a leaf blower into the vent, but that didn't seem to clear it out.


I would like some help on getting into it to clean it out.. please post any and all info you have about it!
