How to clean black rust spots on the rim of the types. I tried to clean with hot water and soap solution. Didnt work.
Then I clean some tough spots with some hard cloth and soap water. Some of them got cleaned up but the shine of the aluminum rim became a bit dull.

can someone help me to restore that shine back. And also how to keep those rims clean without any rust spots and black carbon.

I use Meguires cleaner wax to clean my wheels. Wash them just like the rest of the car- then I use the cleaner wax to get tar, bugs, and whatever other stains off that get on there. They rarely get bad though since the car is pretty much a garage queen. Every time I am done driving it I use a rag/towel to get all of the brake dust off. Keeps it from building up and potentially creating stains- between washes.

don't know if it matters- but my wheels are painted silver- not polished aluminum or chrome.
