Trunk panels
 

In the trunk of my wifes 2001 C 320 sedan (not with folding back seat) I notice two oblong black plastic doors. They have a groove so you can pop them out. Inside is a latch of some kind, can someone tell me what they are? Thanks for any help for thenewbie.</P>
