Towing a 2002 C80 Sports Coupe
Hello folks, recently I had to have my C180 uplifted from the street to be taken to the garage because of fuel pump problems. Anyway, there was a problem winching the car on to the low-loader initially as the towing point couldn't be found. Eventually the guy prized of a small panel from the front bumper which revealed a threaded hole. I have never seen this before but clearly it was the correct point as there is nowhere else that a cable could be attached without damaging the body work. Needless to say, I did not have the metal pin that screws into the hole leaving only a loop to which the cable can be attached. Fortunately, after some scurrying around in his cab, the driver did manage to find one.
My question is: what on earth is this thing called. I don't want to be left in this position again so I thought it prudent to buy one. However without the name of the device, general searches on the internet have not been successful. So, what's it called?
