EBC or ATE Brake Pads

EBC or ATE Brake Pads
Ok so the dealer told me that the rear rotor is at 10% so I am planning on replacing them. While I'm doing that, I plan on replacing the pads. I'm looking at EBC Red or Green stuff. The other option is to purchase the ATE pads from tirerack. Any opinions on them, would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I hear there is a tutorial on here of how to replace them.. did a search and could not find it. Can someone help?
TIA

I have Akebono Ceramic on all of mine. No more brake dust, no more noise, and the braking is great.
For rotors, buy the zimmerman premium coated.
I'd search for the procedure, but for the rears, back off the parking brake with a screwdriver through one of the wheel stud holes once the wheel is off. If those rotors have been on there a while, you'll probably have to beat them off. If you can, leave the car in the air and the rotor/axle flange area coated and recoated with liquid wrench, pb blaster, or some other penetrating oil.
AND - use jack stands, and not cheap ones either.
