timing belt
 
hi there does anybody know when the timing belt intervals are on the 1.8 litre supercharged engine ( c200k sports coupe). is this a big job to undertake and is it gonna be expensive. your knowlege would be much appreciated.

Hi paul, All mercedes benz vehicles use a chain instead of a belt to drive the camshafts. It does not nead to be replaced except in exceptional circumstances. As far as the belt which drives the compressor is concerned, there is no set period. It just needs to be checked for cracks when serviced and replaced when necessary. Hope this helps
