Test drive a C280 with "check engine" light on!!!
 

So I'm thinking about a Mercedes C class 4Matic...I went to the dealer and test drive a 06 c280 4matic with 20k miles. I get in to drive and the "check engine light" is on! the salesman tells me its now problem and its safe to drive. Thats instance number one...a week later my mother is also looking at a C but a new one. So we test drive a C350 4matic. Get in that car and the "anti-lock brake" light is on. Salesman says its okay to drive too, probably just spun out on some ice and it stayed on for some reason!!!!!!

Is this normal of These mercedes C class cars...I just saw the Consumer Reports Issue. Is this a true example of why this Manufacturer is getting this rating...two different dealers, two different cars, and two different lights!
