I have a 04 c230 kompressor sport sedan. I purchased lowering springs but am being told by dealership that it will not make any difference because of their shim/pad system that comes installed factory. The springs will give me exactly what i already have height wise. I will purchase coilover if i have to but i am just trying to lower it 1.2-1.5 inches (equal to what ever the 05 models have). Seems that mine is tad higher from factory.

Can anyone tell me if this is true so i don't waste money.Perhaps I need to modify the shim that comes factory. I hope someone with some wisdom can help.
