RE: SRS restraint malfunction light and message

you could have a loose connection. check out sleepwalkers post of the sensor positions. for me i had a harness that came undone. it is located under the passenger seat in the front. it is red. one of the prongs was pushed back into the harness and wasn't connecting for power to the system.

hope this helps.

SRS problem

I own a 2003 mercedes s500. After my delco battery got totaly drained ( from not starting my car, for about 2 months ) i replaced it with a brand new one yesterday. After starting my car, the ' srs restraints warning ' appeared on my console. I read some mercedes forums, and some of the reasonings ranged from,
as simple as having a mercedes tech re-setting the error code(s), to replacing a
faulty wire, which connects the airbag sensor to the ignition, to replacing the srs module, to replacing the clock spring.
What do you guys think ???

SRS restraint malfunction light and message

I own a 2004 S500 4Matic that the battery was replaced and SRS light stays on. Does any one have any ideas for possible solution to reset? I had a scanner plugged into the car that could not communicate with the module. Any help would be greatly appreciated....
