Shocks
 

i have a 97 C280 w/ 18" rims, 225/40/18 tires, i got h&r lowering springs, 1.4"/1.3", and I want to replace the shocks at the same time because I think I'm going to have to replace them soon anyways (never replaced and they're at 101k miles), so I want to save the money on an extra wheel allignment by doin it all at once. (just in case...is that a good idea? dont want to get the new shocks if i wont have to replace them...)

I found a good deal on KYB GR-2 gas-a-just monotube shocks (2 KG4739 front , 2 KG4740 Rear). is there any reason I shouldn't buy them? do they not work well with h&r for some reason? will they be bale to handle the lowerednessness?

I've never used KYB GR-2's but I've heard differing opinions about them. I wouldn't consider them a performance shock. They are more of an oem replacement shock. The reason you found a good deal on them is because they aren't very expensive to begin with.
Personally, I'd buy a matched set of springs and shocks, like Eibach ProKit or Sachs Performance Set. But since you already have the H&R's,
I think I'd be looking at Bilsteins or Sachs shocks. One bad expirence I heard about with KYB's was when someone used them with lowering springs.
