w/35K on the clock. Arranged by calling Dennis at OE. Friendly, professional & competent. Cost: $395. Did 3 day Prioroty USPS both ways. Got back exactly in 1 week. Removing/reinstalling the ECM is very easy. Did not bother to disconnect batt.

Result: no big torque/hp gain (as expected) but a smoother, more progressive power rate. More responsive & trans shifting has been improved. It doesn't do the 1-2 jerking from a light anymore. Now when you give it a little more gas from cruising speed it almost immediately downshifts and starts giving you more power. Doesn't do that MB "I'll get you up there...eventually" thing. Now, I'm driving the Merc, not the other way around.

 

Is this tune available for both the W203 and W204? Any other models?

yes, available for both. And different models. Some see bigger gains than the lowly w203 or 4.
